You could have called it a time machine, but everything was off, different, weird. Over the years I’ve been able to learn what can practically help when someone you love is facing ideations. I can't ask for anything more: my introduction to the well-respected Edward Yang was a complete emotional experience and my favorite of his as well so far. As I feared, Yang’s weakest yet. i make it a rule never to rate short films on letterboxd but i feel so out of place after this one. Taipei Story. But never dull.
